Data Sharing Agreements

What is a data sharing agreement
- A data sharing agreement can be necessary when external partners are involved in monitoring and/or evaluation. If identifiable data is being shared outside of the service delivery organisation, then a data sharing agreement
- Ensures compliance with data protection laws and clarifies how information will be handled, stored, and protected
- Specifies who owns the data, who can access it, for what purposes, and who is responsible if something goes wrong
- Establishes exactly what data will be shared, in what format, for how long, and what can and cannot be done with it
- Protects all parties by documenting security measures, outlining what happens in case of a data breach, and establishing liability
